GoldHR was founded by Sam Gold in 2012 to provide HR support to small and medium businesses who need access to professional HR advice and support but don’t need the expense of employing an HR professional.
Since then, we’ve worked with a wide range of businesses across Surrey and Hampshire, helping with everything from employing the very first member of staff to dealing with difficult disciplinary issues. Nothing phases us – we have the skills, the experience and the insight to make sure that everything is taken care of properly.

Sam Gold - Director
Sam has 24 years’ HR management experience and is passionate about the benefits of using a collaborative and pragmatic approach to working with businesses of all shapes and sizes.
Sam’s experience extends private and public sectors including financial services, insurance, utilities, legal, publishing, communications, automotive and education. She takes the time to understand immediate and longer-term challenges, strategy and goals in order to quickly identify solutions which add value.

Sam’s qualifications include a post graduate diploma and MSc in Human Resource Management. Sam is also a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an accredited Workplace Mediator.

Jane Blackwood – Associate Consultant
Jane has a holistic approach to HR, with experience that covers everything from mergers and acquisitions to mentoring leaders. She is MCIPD qualified and has over 20 years’ experience managing all aspects of HR functions, ranging from establishing policies, procedures and handbooks to handling recruitment and redundancies.

Mara Thorne – Associate Consultant
Mara has over 20 years’ experience in HR, having worked in senior roles within a number of different industries.
During her career, she’s worked across all aspects of HR and people management, including recruitment, employment contracts, staff handbooks and policies, performance management, absence management, change management, conflict resolution, training and development, pay and pensions, basic health and safety, dismissal and redundancy.

Lindsey Drake – Associate Consultant
Lindsey has experience of working with a huge variety of businesses in a broad range of industries. With HR experience built up over 30 years, Lindsey uses her skills and experience to deliver the best possible HR service to organisations, with clear communication and guidance. Lindsey specialises in supporting clients with their policies and procedures, employee handbooks, contracts of employment, disciplinary and grievance documentation and assisting businesses with their recruitment campaigns.
